Whispers of a T in the Park return are quickly dwindling after a new festival came to town and stole the show. TRNSMT landed in Glasgow Green during the summer and – after tickets took a while to sell – it turned out to be quite the event.
Now organisers are starting a new transmission – and this time it’s going to be bigger than before.
That’s right, there has been some major news sweeping in from camp TRNSMT. To start off with, they’ve only gone and announced their first headline act, and you won’t be disappointed. The Gallagher brother of the moment, Liam is set to own the headline slot on Saturday 30 June.
Acts announced alongside the former Oasis frontman include The Courteeners, Wolf Alice and J Hus. It’s an indie gathering through and through – dig oot the bucket hats.
Let’s start doing sun dances now as TRNSMT organisers, DF Concerts, have also revealed the festival will take place across two weekends. That’s two weekends’ worth of chart-topping music, and all the biggest names in the industry landing in Glasgow for you to sing your little hearts out to. The excitement is too much to handle.
TRNSMT will now take place from Friday 29 June to Sunday 1 July; you’ll get a couple of days to recover before the madness starts again on Friday 6 to Sunday 8 July.
Are you digging out the bankcard to throw all your money at tickets? Same guys, same. Get the pennies ready as tickets for single day, weekend or five-day tickets go on sale from 9am 1 December. Eek!
For now, festival lovers, we need to brace the cold winter nights – but at least we have a summer of music to look forward to. As you were, LG x
