Beauty Buzz: Fenty Beauty

Rihanna is a bit of a hero as it is. But last week, she took her legend status to the next level when she launched Fenty Beauty.

Her cosmetics range has been years in the making – and the hard work has paid off. The line’s USP is the fact that it caters for all skin tones, from super pale to really dark – there are 40 different shades of foundation on offer.

Because Fenty isn’t your usual celebrity-endorsed line – Rihanna’s gone to huge lengths to create products which are useable, useful and will soon become a staple in your makeup bag. It’s not a gimmick – these are fantastic products which really work.

You can get the line from Harvey Nichols – and while it’s a bit more spendy than your typical drug store brands, with the longwear foundation coming in at £26, the reviews alone are enough to make you want to invest. People have been queuing round the block for the last week to get their paws on the new cult beauty brand – so she’s doing something right.

Here’s our pick of the best bits from Fenty.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, £26

The much-talked-about foundation comes in 40 shades, and promises long-laster medium-to-full coverage.

Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Skinstick, £21

Conceal, correct, contour, cover up… This little beauty is well worth stashing way in your makeup bag. Available in 20 shades – and you can get brilliant triple packs too, which give you the perfect palette for contouring.

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter, £26

Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Blotting Powder, £24

If you suffer from a shiny face, and not in the alluring, glowy, Made In Chelsea way, then Ri-Ri’s got you covered. Her blotting powder is winning rave reviews – sweep it over your makeup and it just soaks up any excess sweat (nice). Pop it in your bag and top up during the day.

Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Blotting Paper, £13

Another one for our shiny friends, these blotting papers are a must-have. You just pull out a sheet, sweep it over your face et voila – the shine is gone! You can get a refill of papers for £8 too.
