Best mobile deals this summer

smartphone appsIf you’re getting a bit fed up with your current phone, there’re plenty of offers on the market to help you choose something new. We’ve got a list of some of the top deals depending on your needs – from uploading great selfies at music festivals, to the best value deals while you watch your pennies, and bigger data options for more Instagram and Facebook updates.

Best for Festivals

Samsung E1200 £14.95, Argos

Old school this may be, but it’s a cracking wee phone for festivals – in other words, it’s cheap, fairly robust, and doesn’t really matter if it goes missing. The rubber keyboard on this Samsung helps to keep it clean, as well as letting it see off bumps and scratches. There’s no internet, but it has a camera (great for using on that selfie stick while watching Ed Sheeran) and it will last up to a month without charging. It’s SIM-free, so just chuck a free SIM in it, give your mates your temporary number, and you’re guaranteed not to get lost among the revellers this summer.

Nokia 225 £35, Tesco

It’s sturdy, compact and has a battery that will last a month – you can’t go wrong with this PAYG Nokia handset. There’s also access to most of the important apps and features, such as Facebook and Twitter, so brill for uploading pics of you in your wellies at TITP.
