This June, Demi Lovato will headline the Glasgow SSE Hydro as part of her first ever UK tour.

The show, taking place on 10 June, is part of her ‘Tell Me You Love Me’ world tour, named after the US singer’s latest album that was released in September 2017 featuring singles ‘Sorry Not Sorry’, ‘Sexy Dirty Love’ and title track ‘Tell Me You Love Me’.

Since its release, the singer’s sixth studio album has reached number three in the USA Billboard 200’s chart and number five in the Official UK album chart and has been named one of the best 20 pop albums in 2017 by Rolling Stone magazine. Singles from the album have also been in and out of the charts, which is no surprise after single ‘You Don’t Do It For Me Anymore’ sold over 12,000 copies in its first week.

In her 10 year solo career, Lovato has never toured the UK as a headline act, but has previously joined Enrique Iglesias and The Jonas Brothers as a support act. Along with Glasgow, Lovato will visit London, Birmingham, Newcastle and Manchester, but these are just five of 22 cities in the European leg of the tour.

The US dates of the tour, where Lovato was joined by special guest DJ Khalid and opening act Kehlani, are already over but Lovato has been keeping fans up to date on her time at Coachella and love for fellow artist Cardi B’s new album on social media before she takes the show to Europe.

Lovato, who has been known to be outspoken about her history with mental health issues and addiction, has also been joined on tour by her co-owned mental health programme CAST Centres to provide therapy sessions and wellness workshops.

The European tour will kick off in Belfast, UK on 24 May and end in Bologna, Italy on 27 June.
