Get excited! TRNSMT line up announcement arrives today

If you’re as big a music fan as we are, you’ll know that the TRNSMT line up is coming later on today (18 February), if in a slightly cryptic way. We’re taking a look at the hottest festivals across Scotland this summer, to get you pumped for that one week of t-shirt weather we get every year.

Scotland is well-known for its stellar music scene, and the best crowds in the UK (not to blow our own trumpet).

This summer is set to be no different, with festivals taking place across the country throughout the season.

TRNSMT – 12-14 July

Glasgow’s biggest music festival is returning to Glasgow Green for another year. If you’re as impatient as us to find out this year’s line up, you’re in for a treat: the line up is due to be announced today (18 February)!

The festival’s Facebook page will be live at 5pm, where they’ll be announcing the line up through a series of cryptic song lyrics.

It will then be down to fans to piece together the line up and announce the acts on their own social media accounts.

There are tickets to be won for the fastest and most dedicated fans, who guess the line up right first.

Make sure you have your phone or laptop handy on Monday evening to be in with a chance of winning free tickets. With Snow Patrol letting it slip that they’ll be making an appearance, we can’t wait for it all to be revealed on Monday…

Not far from Loch Ness, Belladrum festival is the perfect place to head to for a road trip, before settling down and pitching your tent for the weekend.

If you’re heading up from the central belt or further south, why not check out the festival’s glamping packages, to ensure you have access to showers, charging points and the beloved hair straighteners.

Or, if this is your first time camping at a festival, we’d recommend getting the real, gritty experience and camping old school style. We’re telling you, a weekend of washing with only baby wipes is a right of passage…

With a line up including Tom Odell, Elbow, CHVRCHES, local star Lewis Capaldi, and Jess Glynne headlining, we’re certain we’re not the only ones absolutely buzzing for August.

Taking place across Glasgow and Edinburgh again this year, this means double the acts, double the fun and double the sun (hopefully).

Headlining in Edinburgh is Florence and the Machine, and The Courteeners – you’ll find us battling it out in the front row.

Glasgow is lucky enough to have 80s icons The Cure, heartthrobs The 1975 and the one and only Foo Fighters headlining.

Whether you’re heading to one or all three festivals this summer, we’re certain it’s going to be a belter. We’ll see you there!
