LIMITED 7” PRESSING of
‘I’d Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)’ / ‘Later…When The TV Turns To Static’
LOVE MUSIC AND AVALANCHE INSTORES CONFIRMED
Glasvegas will give fans an early chance to hear the title track of their forthcoming album, ‘Later…When The TV Turns To Static’ via a very special 7” release for Record Store Day. As a partner to the official release of the first single from the album, ‘I’d Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)’ on 22nd April, a 7” version of the track backed with ‘Later…When The TV Turns To Static’ will be available to buy on Record Store Day from participating stores. The release is strictly limited to 2000 copies all individually numbered and comes on coloured vinyl with a sleeve concept creatively directed by lead singer and songwriter James Allan who said of the release:
‘It’s brilliant to have a record out on Record Store Day. Releasing a 7” vinyl is very important to us, especially during these times when the opportunity for people to own music in its physical form is sadly dwindling. I think the main reason I wanted to design the artwork was simply the desire to express something on a visual level. Just the same reasons I write the words and music expressing something on a sound/vibration level.’
On 20 April in support of Record Store Day and their local record shops Glasvegas will perform a set at Glasgow’s Love Music and at Edinburgh’s Avalanche. The band will be onstage at 2.30pm at Avalanche and at 5pm at Love Music on the day.
Glasvegas will release their third studio album, ‘Later…When The TV Turns To Static’ in the summer on their own Go Wow Records. The album was produced by James (Allan) and recorded / mixed at Gorbals Sound Studios in their hometown of Glasgow.
