The Addams Family
They’re creepy and they’re kooky… and they’re coming to Netflix this month! The Addams’ family’s hijinks have been entertaining us for over 25 years, and now you can enjoy them from the comfort of your couch. Settle down and grab some popcorn (just make sure The Thing doesn’t get there before you do!)
A Cinderella Story
Everyone’s favourite fairytale was brought to life by none other than Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray back in 2004 and soon became a sugary-sweet sleepover classic for teenagers across the country, many of us wishing that we were in fact PrincetonGirl818. Indulge in a bit of nostalgia with your pals this weekend with this blast from the past.
What started off as a relatively straightforward investigation, documenting the effects of steroid use on athletic performance, soon snowballed for filmmaker Bryan Fogel, when he discovered that the Russian anti-doping expert supplying his drugs was in fact involved in one of the largest state-sponsored doping scandals in the world. What followed is set to provide an explosive insight into the actions of the Russian authorities in facilitating and indeed encouraging doping amongst their athletes. A must-watch.
Atypical is a coming-of-age story following the life of 18-year-old Sam, who has autism, and his quest to find love. Described as providing an authentic and human insight into living with autism, Atypical is set to make us question what it is that makes someone normal.
Marvel’s The Defenders
Netflix’s hotly-anticipated collaboration with Marvel has been four years in the making, but comic book fans can rejoice in the knowledge that The Defenders will be available to stream very soon. The series follows Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Daredevil in their bid to save New York City, and, knowing Marvel’s growing success, it’s set to be one of the series of the year. Don’t miss it!
