Netflix will release their feature film documenting a hostage situation that took place in the Iranian Embassy in the 1980s. This thriller will see the story from three different perspectives: two people working on very different methods to save the hostages and the take of the media. Get comfy – this is set to be an exhilarating journey.

La La Land

8 November

The Oscar-winning film about… oh wait, we read the info wrong. The almost-Oscar-winning film is all-singing and all-dancing with a cast of famous faces. Set in Tinseltown, this musical follows the journey of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling as they try to make it big and try to make their budding romance bloom.

Marvel’s The Punisher

17 November

Netflix and Marvel are teaming up and they are not holding back on the action and darkness. Oh no, this superhero series has a sinister undertone with lead character Frank Castle (played by Jon Bernthal) going vigilante and being, well, quite a violent guy. The Punisher is set to take the superhero image to a whole new place.

She’s Gotta Have It

23 November

Award-winning director Spike Lee has turned his ground-breaking 1986 feature film into a ten-part series – all with a modern twist. The original film was shot in just 12 days on a minuscule budget and was a roaring success. Following the journey of struggling Brooklyn artist Nola Darling, this is a TV series you never knew you needed.
