Grab your mates, pack the sun cream and don’t forget your tickets ‘cos TRNSMT lands in Glasgow Green tomorrow.

We wonder if Geoff Ellis (the brains behind TRNSMT) sat with a crystal ball to pick the hottest weekend of the year for week one of TRNSMT? Probably not, but it’s good luck for festival goers and the famous faces getting ready to grace Glasgow.

Tomorrow Glasgow Green will welcome our cover star, James Bay, The Script, Tom Walker, Sam Fender, The Ninth Wave and the Stereophonics, plus many, many more. Phew! That’s a lot for one day. Well, be prepared, there’s two full weekends of fun and games on the way.

There have been many graduates to the main stage this year from last year’s King Tuts stage. Get your Cinnamon chants ready for Glasgow singer, Gerry Cinnamon (guaranteed to be a belter!), Lewis Capaldi and Declan McKenna – get them added to your TRNSMT app.

On opening the main stage (30 June), Gerry says: “I’m absolutely buzzing to come back to TRNSMT in 2018. It was one of my highlights of the summer last year and I can’t wait to play some new tunes for everyone. Bring it on!”

Joining Stereophonics as headliners include, Liam Gallagher (as you were), Artic Monkeys (we wonder if they still look good on the dancefloor), Queen + Adam Lambert (they’re going to rock you) and The Killers (with Mr Brightside). There is literally something for everyone.

You can’t forget the King Tuts stage. This is the chance for you and your mates to see the up and coming acts in music – and potential headline acts of the future. With some new names mixed together with acts that have already made a mark, the King Tuts stage is sure to leave everyone dancing and singing their wee hearts out.

Make sure to check out Fatherson, who have released new music especially for TRNSMT, Kyle Falconer, The Snuts, Sigrid, Gun, and Nina Nesbitt to name a few. You’re literally going to be dripping with new music… and sun cream.

For whatever reason, if there’s just too much good music to handle have a break with festival food like no other.

Gone are the overcooked kebabs and soggy chips: PLATFORM is coming to TRNSMT. The latest street food market, PLATFORM is going on tour and bringing the delicious smells and tastes of the venders with them. You can expect high quality burgers using locally sourced ingredients, oriental inspired treats to seafood or veggie delights, there’s enough scran to fill you up before you get back to the dancin’.

#SmirnoffHouse will be the go-to spot to cut some shapes as local and global DJs perform knock out sets. Expect to see Sean Claude and Pretty Ugly, and Madam X to take your TRNSMT festival to the next level.

Over two weekends Glasgow is going be taken to new heights. The biggest names in music will be blasting the new tunes mixed in with the classics to provide unforgettable days and nights of music. If you’ve already got your tickets (woohoo) make sure to look out for Emma and Lorne to get some free Source goodies, if not, there’s still some left!

See you tomorrow, TRNSMT.
