On the face of it, Aldi is a quirky, down-to-earth supermarket, providing its customers with great quality at discount prices. Take a look at the bigger picture and it’s quite breathtaking. We’re one of the most impressive retailers in the global business market today. With a simple goal of providing value and quality, using leaner and smarter business processes, we’re a supermarket that’s getting it right. We’re winning all kinds of awards and new stores are springing up all over the UK and Ireland (currently one every week) as we rapidly increase our market share. Combine this with over 9,000 stores worldwide – and continuing expansion throughout Europe, North America and Australia – and you’ll see why it’s an incredibly exciting time to join us.

Apprenticeships

Our Apprenticeship Programme gives ambitious school leavers a springboard to a successful career in retail. As an apprentice, you’ll learn the ins and outs of Aldi – one of the fastest-growing retailers in the country. It’s hands-on, practical work combined with theory, as you work towards a qualification and a permanent position at Aldi. We’re not going to lie, this is hard work, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. And with opportunities in Stores, Logistics and Driving, there’s more than one way to succeed here. You just have to want it.

What you can expect in return

A chance to learn from some of the finest minds in retail today.

A competitive salary: £5.52 per hour rising to £7.00 in year two and £8.02 in year three (Stores and Logistics Programme). £9.91 per hour for the Driver Apprenticeship Programme.

28 days’ paid holiday (including bank holidays).

The chance to join us permanently upon successful completion.

Graduate Area Manager

Whether you’re straight out of uni – or ready for a career change – you’ll join as a Trainee Area Manager. During the 12-month programme, you’ll grow into the kind of leader you’ve always wanted to be: superbly trained, confident and equipped to tackle an enormous array of tough, mind-stretching retail challenges. You’ll have real responsibility, work with real teams and achieve astonishing results.

There’s full support and exceptional training to furnish you with all kinds of knowledge – from Employment Law and Recruitment, to Operations and Health & Safety. But the reasons why we pay such a generous salary (£44,000 to £73,450) is because we need you to be confident, fearless and ready to take on any challenge. You’re not motivated by money though. For you it’s a matter of personal pride, the feeling that you’ve pushed yourself and achieved more than you ever imagined.

What you can expect in return

A £44,000 starting salary (which rises in stages to £73,450 after 4 years)

A fully-expensed Audi A4

Opportunities to travel the world

A Health & Lifestyle package
