Today is World Emoji Day and to celebrate Apple has announced the release of 70 new emojis later this year 💃😍.
The new characters cover everything from food to infinity signs. A range of new do’s will be added to the emoji library including grey hair, curly hair, bald heads and even ginger emojis after more than 21,000 people signed a petition for redheads to be represented.
Food and face emojis will be getting extra details, we’re talking sprinkle cupcakes so realistic your mouth will water. There’s even a freezing face emoji for when the Scottish weather inevitably turns cold again.
New animals will also join the emoji family, the lobster is our favourite but if you’re not keen on sea creatures there is a peacock, a kangaroo and a parrot too.
The exact release date for the new emojis is yet to be announced but we’ll be trying them out on our Twitter and Instagram when they arrive!
