1. Drink more water

2. Take the plunge with oily fish
Okay so some people don’t like fish. I get it. But honestly, give it a try and it’ll work wonders with your mind and body. Whether it’s salmon, anchovies, sardines, trout or mackerel; even eating this once a week can really help to improve your memory. The secret with this type of fish is that it contains omega-3-fatty acids, which is essential for healthy brain development, and it is something the human body can’t produce itself. Fish also contains iodine, which can improve mental clarity.
3. Eat rabbit food – broccoli, spinach and leafy greens
Leafy greens like watercress and spinach are a fantastic source of vitamins and minerals to help you with those late night cramming sessions. Broccoli is famous for it’s ‘superfood’ qualities, as it contains high levels of potassium – essential for brain function. It also has lots of vitamin C, which helps to detoxify the body and support the immune system.
4. Squirrel away with nuts and seeds
Nuts like walnuts, almonds, brazils and cashews are a fantastic source of healthy fats, and contain an array of vitamins to work on your brain and body. They’re an excellent source of energy and a quick pick-me-up when you need to stay focused. Nuts are high in calories so best not to binge, but eaten in small amounts they’re a godsend. The best varieties are unsalted, plain nuts usually available form your local supermarket or health food store. Sprinkle over a salad or add to a curry or soup if you’re feeling adventurous.
5. Detox with blueberries and blackberries
These berries are high in antioxidants, which can help protect your brain from harmful toxins. Blueberries have also been found to help communication within the brain, enabling you to think faster and more clearly. Blackberries are super nutrient rich, and can aid memory retention, meaning you’ll pass with flying colours on your next exam.
