1. Escape the screen!
Netflix, Big Brother and your Xbox can wait because Friday nights are for socialising. You have all weekend to catch up on your shows and games but tonight try to tear yourself away from the screen and do something different to celebrate the start of the weekend! Talk to people in real life, not WhatsApp. And whether it’s a gig with friends or a night out on the town, spend your night seeing the world through your eyes and not a screen!
2. Meet new people
We know #squadgoals are hugely important to you so why not use your free time this Friday to attend social gatherings where you will meet new people. Maybe you don’t know many people who are going to that party, but saying yes means you’ll meet a whole new group of potential pals and who knows? Maybe even that special someone!
3. It’s an excuse to dress up
Whether you’re a boy or a girl, everyone loves an opportunity to look sharp. It doesn’t matter if you’re going bowling or out for dinner, it’s a real confidence booster to feel great about your appearance. Rock up in your new shoes or shirt and enjoy feeling like a million dollars for the night because if not now, when else do you have the chance?
4. Transform those negative vibes
Failed a test? Ripped your new trousers? Fought with your girlfriend or boyfriend? Shake off any negativity by planning a fun-filled night with friends. Your pals are professionals at cheering you up so give them a call and arrange a spur of the moment activity! Before you know it you’ll find yourself distracted from whatever you were worried about quicker than you can say YOLO.
5. You deserve it
Did you have an exam or pass your driving test this week? Maybe you managed to cook something spectacular. Whether you achieved something amazing or simply endured a full week of school or uni, reward yourself for the organisation, perseverance and determination. Getting through the gruelling five days of the week always calls for a celebration so let your hair down and head out with friends. The weekend starts here!
