Goodbye hangovers and hello Glasgow Hang Challenge!

Half-way through January and that vegan diet went out the window for most of us and dry January was a well-meaning idea. Health has been replaced by hangovers, but when was the last time you got paid to have one? Never? Well it’s time for a different type of hang, one that could win you up to £2500! All you have to do is hang from a bar for as long as possible.

The Glasgow Hang Challenge was set up by Scottish start up Voomfit, a health and fitness site designed to show you the best places to get fit and active nearby. The event is taking place at 14 locations across Glasgow from 15th-28th January at different locations, so there really is no excuse for not heading down and attempting to redeem yourself after all those failed New Year’s resolutions.

‘No arm strength’ I hear you say, well, that’s not a problem. A participant is randomly selected to win £500 and there are more prizes to be given away every day. Signing up is free and you can enter as many times as you want. You have to be in it to win it, people!

The challenge is taking place at Titan Fitness Glasgow South today from 12-8pm. If you can’t make it there, check out one of the many other locations:

18th January- Anamalia

19th January- Glasgow Ski & Snowboard Centre

20th January- Glasgow Club Kelvinhall

21st January- Sportscotland Inverclyde

22nd January- Crossfit Glasgow

23rd January- Glasgow Club Bellahouston

24th January- Pinkston Water sports

The grand fitness plans may have gone down the pan already, but at least the cash prize will pay off that yearlong gym membership that you optimistically bought. Or who knows, maybe this will provide all the inspiration you need to get back into it.

Keep up to date with the event on Voomfit’s Facebook.
