The first 12 Love Island 2019 contestants have been announced and they are ready to take the villa by storm. Before the show returns on Monday (3 June) we’re giving you the lowdown on all five girls and seven guys.
Yewande
We’ll be getting some serious STEM career inspo from 23-year-old Yewande when she enters the Love Island villa next week. The Irish scientist is ready to prove that you can have beauty and brains. Find her Instagram here.
Anton
Let’s kick off the guys with one of our own, we can’t wait for Anton to represent Scotland on screens this summer. The 24-year-old owns a gym but rumour has it he struggles to be #loyal to his significant other. Get some serious fitness inspiration here.
Curtis
You might recognise this contestant but no, it’s not AJ Pitchard from Strictly… it’s his brother! 23-year-old Curtis is a dancer too, and we can’t wait to see what moves he has in store when he enters the villa on Monday. Stalk his social media here.
Anna
Anna might look like a long lost Kardashian sister, but the 28-year-old pharmacist wants people to know there’s more to her than looks. We can’t wait to see her grace our screens next week, get a sneak preview of her life here.
Michael
If a real-life hero sounds like your cup of tea then Michael is definitely up your street. The 27-year-old firefighter goes by Mac and is looking for someone with good chat to couple up with. Find out more about him here.
Joe

Lucie
Being a professional surfer isn’t all fun and games, 21-year-old Lucie wants to find love, too. She wants someone serious about sport, not just your average guy. See her in action here.
Tommy
Tommy might look familiar, his big brother is heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and there’s definitely some family resemblance. The 20-year-old from Manchester is a boxer too, but he’s taking some time out of the ring to fight for love in the villa this summer. See if he has what it takes to win here.
Amy
Amy travels around the world for a living but she hasn’t found love… yet. The 26-year-old cabin crew manager wants to find the one in the villa and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for her. See where she’s been jetting off to here.
Callum
Aircraft engineer Callum is representing Wales in the villa. He’s a self-confessed party boy but now that he’s 28-years-old, he thinks it’s time to settle down. Will he find his soulmate in the villa? Find out more about him here.
