Scotland’s biggest TV show is looking for trainees

Calling all Outlander fans! The hit Scottish TV show has opened its applications for traineeships beginning in December this year.

The programme is now in its fifth season, and is looking for talented individuals with drive and passion for working in the television industry.

ROLES

The traineeship includes roles in production, production design, costume, rigging and carpentry. Further opportunities including assistant director, camera, greens, props and set dec painter are expected to open later in the year. Each position will last five to eight months.

One of the most popular shows of the moment revolves around Claire Randall, the former World War Two nurse who is suddenly transported back in time to 18th century Scotland.

SKILLS

The traineeship aims to build up practical production skills and provide professional experience necessary to progress careers in the film and television industry. The show has trained more than 90 people across the previous four seasons, and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

The deadline for applications is 19 November, so make sure to send it away before then to avoid missing out on this fantastic opportunity.
