5 Reasons not to let Blue Monday get you down

Every year we’re told that the third Monday in January is “Blue Monday,” the “most depressing day of the year” thanks to the fact we are all missing Christmas, we are all poor at this time of the year, and (of course) the weather.

But don’t fret! There are still plenty of good things to feel cheerful about. Check out our list below…

1. You can get lost in La La Land

How can you be sad in a world where an all-singing, all-dancing movie starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone exists? Sorry, it’s not possible. Even if you don’t have the pennies to see the film, you can check out their adorable chemistry as they tell jokes to each other on Graham Norton’s coach. Instant mood lift

2. TV is killer ATM

Feeling low? Then snuggle up with your laptop, pop the kettle on and getting ready to binge-watch your blues away.  Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events on Netflix has rave reviews and we can’t wait for Tom Hardy’s new drama called Taboo on the Beeb. Oh, and their plenty Sherlock goodness to catch up on too. Last but not least YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE OA. Honestly, put down whatever you are doing and go watch it right now. Please don’t come back until you are done.

3. This Flamingo Pen

Try and look at this and not smile. I DARE YOU. Buy it here: £6, Typo

4. The adorable and proper scientific news that puppies love baby talk

Yup you read that right. Scientists have finally proven that puppies love it when you coo over them and talk to them like they are babies.  Ps. old dogs don’t care, so don’t waste your breath on them.

5. Binky from Made in Chelsea is having a baba!

Congrats to our favourite reality star – we can’t wait to see the first MIC offspring be born. And pretty please can we get a pregnant Binky spin off – MIC BABY anyone?
