Talent agency looking for extras in upcoming TV and movies

Looking for some part time work over the spring term? Sick of your waiting or call centre job and fancy something a bit more exciting? Then working as a TV and movie extra could be just the ticket.

The talent agency behind Justice League, the Kingsman movies and the latest Star Wars releases are coming to Glasgow and looking for young Scots to take part in paid extra work for some upcoming movie and TV projects. If you’re over 16 and a half and have the right to work in the UK, you have the chance to be considered – no experience necessary!

The casting call will take place from 10am – 4pm on Sunday, April 15 at The Studio Glasgow and the auditions are free to attend.

Amy Leyshon, events coordinator comments: “We work on the biggest and best feature films and have provided supporting artists for numerous projects including Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Justice League, Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Paddington 2. We have some exciting projects coming up in and around Glasgow as well as across Scotland, so are looking for people to come and register to work as supporting artists with us. We look forward to meeting everyone!”

Established in 2005 by a student, for students, Universal Extras Ltd supplies extras in paid roles across the whole of the UK and Ireland and is based in Pinewood Studios right in the heart of the film industry. They host a number of casting calls and events throughout a number of different venues, including colleges and universities. You can also apply for work via their website and have the opportunity to become a fully-fledged member – meaning you would already be considered for any projects subject to suitability.

Once you have registered you are then considered for any paid opportunities the agency thinks you’re right for, as long as you are reliable, flexible and punctual for any job you have accepted. The hours can be long and require early starts and late finishes but, as you can see from their impressive list of productions, the rewards speak for themselves.
