Throwback Thursday – music of 2017

New faces, iconic returns and a specific boy band releasing solo tracks – this year has been packed to the brim with tunes.

Love her or loath her, T Swift made a triumphant return and we’re all still asking what we made her do. Sisters HAIM released their second album, Dua Lipa was doing it for the failed relationships, and Ed Sheeran was literally everywhere you looked. Everywhere.

There was some heartbreak from the land of music too as Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington passed away in the summer. The nu metal star had made waves in music with Linkin Park’s duets with Jay Z and topping the charts in their own rights.

It has been a big year for music, streaming sites and radio airplay. We’re taking a moment to appreciate the bangers of 2017 before waving it goodbye and excitingly waiting for what 2018 has to offer.
