A trend we can definitely appreciate, even if we are just watching the videos. Squats are never fun, never, but we bet this new challenge will make squatting so much more enjoyable – you are being challenged to get your dogs in on the action. 💪🐶
Mother and baby fitness is cute and all, but it doesn’t involve dogs. Cute, enthusiastic, slightly confused doggos, all eager to help their owners get fit for summer. We can’t cope!

Golden retrievers, bulldogs, German shepherds – they’re all getting involved in the #squatyourdogchallenge with their sporty owners. Across Instagram puppies and dogs are being lifted high and low as the latest must-have weight to make your squats more of a challenge (because they’re not already).

The trend all started after Texas-based fitness blogger, Alyssa Greene teamed up with a canine colleague to create the #squatyourdogchallenge, opening the floodgates to dog squats.

Writing in an Instagram post, Alyssa says: “If anyone wants to join me in this fun, take a video of yourself squatting your dog or pet and tag me in it! Disclaimer: if they’re too heavy, don’t try it. If they don’t like it, put them down. Know your animal before partaking!”

We want to know if this trend can go any further? Dog yoga, dog swimming, dog football? Let’s face it anything involving our furry friends is bound to make any experience more enjoyable.
